The Atmospheric Sciences and Global Change Division (ASGCD) in the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), Richland, WA has an opportunity for a post-bachelor position to work with our Earth System Analysis and Modeling team. The candidate will help prepare and develop climate data, perform data analysis, implement and carry out software testing procedures, and make occasional climate model simulations in the Linux/UNIX programing environment following instructions of our climate scientists.
This opportunity requires data processing and/or programing skills, writing skills, and good personal interaction skills. ASGCD houses an interdisciplinary team dedicated to understanding the climate and climate change.
The successful candidate should have received degree within the past two years, with a major in a physical or environmental science or engineering program, or in a computer science or related field from an accredited college or university, with at least a 3.0 GPA preferred (on a 4.0 scale).
