Department of Ecology: Facility Engineer position

The Waste 2 Resources (W2R) program is looking to fill a Facility Engineer (Environmental Engineer 2) (In-Training) position. This position will be located in our Headquarters Building (HQ) in Lacey, WA.

The Facility Engineer position performs the full range of environmental engineering duties associated with  regulating some of the largest industries in the state by issuing air, water, solid and dangerous waste permits and ensuring compliance with air, water, solid waste, hazardous waste, and toxics cleanup rules and regulations in order to  minimize the industries’ impact to air, land, and water.

We are looking for applicants who are able to work independently, are attentive to details, are able to effectively communicate with both professionals and nonprofessionals, and are creative problem solvers.
