The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) is hosting its annual student competition, where teams of 3-6 undergraduate or graduate students present their solutions to a real-world solid waste problem. Teams have 8 months to prepare their solution and present it as a report, poster, and presentation at SWANA’s national conference in Nashville.

All team participants earn a free registration for the conference and could win prizes of $2,500 or $1,000. For more information about the competition, check out https://swana.org/Events/WASTECON.aspx

Team applications are due January 19, so if anyone is interested in joining a team, they should e-mail me (Meara Heubach) at heumea30@evergreen.edu
