This event announcement was shared by one of our Environmental Studies students, Emily Menz, who is the president of ReThinkUW – Foster’s Business Sustainability RSO. They are hosting the annual Resilience Summit next Thursday and are really hoping to see more representation from the College of the Environment to engage in this discussion.

ReThinkUW strives to spark conversations surrounding businesses addressing environmental problems and works to expose students to diverse careers in sustainability. The Resilience Summit is an opportunity for students, faculty, and local business leaders to come together and explore the connections between business and the environment. This year’s theme is regeneration: “the development of systems that are capable of being restored and renewed through the integration of natural processes, human behavior, and community action.” There will be short presentations by our speakers, a Q&A panel, and a networking dinner.
