Fellows Diversity-focused Postdoc and graduate opportunity at Minnesota

The RFP for the 2020-2021 CFANS Diversity Scholars Postdoctoral Fellowship Program has been released and applications are being accepted through January 11th, 2019. This recurring annual program is an initiative to attract promising scholars from underrepresented communities with potential to pursue future faculty positions at the University of Minnesota and at other top research universities. Fellows will work with CFANS faculty members on independent research and participate in activities related to professional development in academia such as teaching and learning, competitive grant writing, supervision of students and staff, and research program development. The purpose of the program is to nurture fellows’ intellectual development and professional growth, and position them for success in future tenure-track academic positions.
The fellowship award is valuable, and we are looking for the best possible candidates to apply. Fellows are hired on as postdoctoral associates for two years with an annual salary of $50,000 as well as subsidized medical and dental insurance and an up-front, lump sum equivalent to one month’s salary for relocation expenses, $2,500 per year for professional development activities and travel to professional conferences, and $5,000 per year for research support.

Please help us promote this opportunity by sharing it with your networks and encouraging potential applicants to apply. More information, including the full RFP, can be found on the CFANS Office of khalling. A one page flyer advertising both this program and the Diversity Scholars Graduate Student Fellowship program is attached.
