Subject: Opportunity for Design Activism in Action
Hello Designers, Planners, Researchers, Scientists, Artists, and Specialists,
Want to get involved with fellow students, work on networking, and design and build?
Think Outside the Park is a new group on campus and we are looking for designers that are interested in applying what we have learned through classes and studios in the realm of design activism. We will be working toward a physical goal of art/design installation in August for the Design in Public festival. There will be research, design, community outreach, grant writing, and physical installation components for this project (basically something for everyone).
We will be discussing our project topic two different days to include as many people as possible, Thursday, April 11th at 6pm in Gould Court and Friday, April 12th at 5:30pm in Gould Court.
Reasons to partake at any commitment levels:
Practice producing thought provoking potential policy changing installation.
Great networking opportunity for connecting with professionals and community members.
Learn techniques/practice having difficult conversations with the community and potentially policy makers
Expand your definitions and boundaries of what design means.

Hope to see you one of the days!
