Summer Campaign Jobs for UW Students!

My name is Brooke Beason and I am a Campaign Director with Fund for the Public Interest, a national non-profit organization that runs campaigns for some of the nation’s most prominent environmental and social change organizations, such as Environment America and U.S. PIRG.

I’m emailing to ask for your help spreading the word about opportunities for students and career positions for seniors and graduates. We will be on campus from 2/19 – 2/21 meeting with interested students. Can you forward the announcement below to your students?

We are currently hiring students and college graduates to join our summer campaign staff and direct campaign offices in 25 cities across the country. Students will get the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in grassroots organizing, learn valuable communication skills and have the opportunity to participate in a variety of campaign actions including: running media events, coalition building, canvassing, and writing editorials, all while being paid as members of our staff. Our staff typically earn an average of $6,000-8,000 over the summer.

We’ve also found that short announcements at the beginning of class are a good way to reach students. Can one of our staff come to your class(es) from 2/19 – 2/21?

You can reply to me directly at bbeason to arrange the details of the class announcement. Thank you in advance for your help and I look forward to hearing back from you.
